The Northshore Apple Store had them at 2:30 pm when I wen tthere. I was at the Microcenter in Cambridge at 10:30 am and they didn't have them

Is there a way to resrict a user from read/write access on the entire drive with the exception of one folder?

Yes, there is ODBC for the Mac. Search on www.maccentral.com for a story on ODBC for Classic and OS X. I think it was in yesterday's news.
