No you don't have to be connected to the net.
Everything is lowercase and completely all relative paths etc etc.
like I say it even works on Mac os 9 so I am at a loss why it will play from the harddrive of macX but not from the cd-rom (that is burnt from the exact same files that work)...

I have some web pages that runs a flash console which calls a flash flv movie and some xml. It works fine when played from the macx harddrive but when I burn it to CD it won't play from the cdl. The flash carosel comes up but it's like it won't load the XML or flv file to play.
