Ok, I've got a similar problem. I have a folder of stuff that I own, but I can't chmod, chown, or most importantly delete it. And yes, I am using rm -r deleteme, chmod -R 777 deleteme, and chown -R dougk:staff deleteme. It still won't let me delete it, even under root! :confused:

Yes: instead of using the loopback device (127.0.0.1), try using the machine's IP address. For example, mine would be 192.168.10.3. You should be able to find what you need in the networking control panel. I have a feeling that this should work, as OS 9 doesn't know what loopback loops back...

Yes, if it put everything in the "Cleanup at Startup" (and yes, it does exist, just invisible) folder, then it would automatically delete that old cache file once you restart. Either that, or create a list with pathnames of files to include in the burning. Both are pretty effective....
