    mounting shared folders on Win2000

Yeah, me too. This is the MAC, fer cryin' out loud, it shouldn't be this hard. Some of the rumors sites claim that OS X 10.1.1 is supposed to improve this somewhat. I sure hope so. I'm gonna forward some of this to MacFixit, too. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one's hit their head...

    10.1 performance report

I'm pretty sure a G4 helps a *lot*. In my case, I have a 666MHz G4 Tower, and with 10.1 on it now, it feels like someone snuck a second processor in when I wasn't looking. Most apps launch in two bounces, windows resize & reformat several times faster, etc. etc. etc. This camper's happy.

10.1 - No luck in North Jersey

Funny, I got mine this afternoon (~1pm) at the CompUSA in East Hanover. They had a dozen and a half copies there. Maybe they came in (or the manager found them) after you tried?

Hey all, dual monitors on OSX anyone?

Dual monitors? Piece of cake. I have a 666MHz G4 with a factory Radeon, and a PCI Rage Orion added. The main monitor, 21" Mitsubishi Diamond Pro, is on the Radeon, and looks gorgeous. The Orion drives my old Power Computing 17" monitor, which is shared on an Iogear MiniView USB KVM...
