Just tried that - didn't work. Any other suggestions?

Has anyone else experienced this problem. Put 10.1 to sleep, wake it up, then press the eject CD key. Nothing happens (eject works fine if not put to sleep and then woken up). If you continue to press that key with nothing happening, applications will no longer launch....they just bounce over...
