Can Apple ever make up for the big mistake?

Wow! All you forum pros! So much to respond to, so little time. True, its all habit and personal opinion. True, its not a 'what you can do versus what you can't do in each OS': all these OSes are pretty darn capable. What you can do on any computer today, makes computers 10 years ago...

Can Apple ever make up for the big mistake?

Just out of curiosity, how many of you people use Macintosh/Windows/Linux/Unix simultaneously? I run a medium-sized multimedia design shop, and funny enough we're all about Windows 2000 Pro , and various flavors of Linux, and one solitary OS X machine. For all thee who wonder, our Windows...

    iTunes 2.02

I'm having a problem with iTunes 2.0.1 and 2.0.2. I am the administrator of the computer, however, under any account other than root, when I try to import tracks from a CD i get an 'Access Privileges' error and iTunes is unable to access the audio data on the CD. Is anyone else having this...

    cdrecord and OS X

Anyone know if its possible to burn CDs from the command line? Can one compile 'cdrecord' to run under freeBSD, if not, has apple provided a method of burning from the command line which provides control of whether the burner verifies or not and in-dpeth switches and settings? Thanks...

iTunes internet radio list not loading

Actually the user I'm using is listed as an Administrator, and its the main user of the system. If its a question of limited acces privileges, then where would I have to go (in the OS) to give this user more privileges or to modify te access rights?? Thanks, BackInMac

iTunes internet radio list not loading

I've just installed itunes 2 hoping it would sort out a problem that i've been having since version 1. Whenever I attempt to import a sonf off of a cd, I get a message that Itunes is experiencing an Access Privileges error from the cd drive. Unfortunately, it didn't. I still get the same error...

    Uninstalling MacOSX apps?!

Actually, 1. I find it wastes a lot of time to have to seek out the bottom right corner. The way I worked with the windows resizing scheme was very pragmatic, i would simply use and edge or corner I was closest to. Its also a great time saver for organizing multiple windows onto your screen...

    Uninstalling MacOSX apps?!

There are a couple of things about windows that I really like, and I was hoping I can retain that behaviour in Mac OS X. 1. I love being able to resize a window from any edge or corner. It totally sucks to always have to go to the bottom right corner to resize. Is this possible in Mac OS X...

    Uninstalling MacOSX apps?!

This has got to be one of those 'its under your nose' things, but I've been on Windows so long, I acn't believe it would still be that easy! How do you remove/uninstall an app installed under Mac OS X? Do you just chuck the folder its sitting in? Aren't there any other files residing...
