i've been trying to troubleshoot this with a friend that has a mac with just about identical specs, and he seemed to think it was something with the graphics card...i think you might be onto something. could you suggest a video card that would be an upgrade from what i have now, but not break...

and some additional info as well. i plugged the keyboard straght into my machine, avoiding the usb hub on my monitor....the problem still persists though i cant find the apple hardware test cd that came with my machine, but i did manage to get a copy of tech tool pro v4 and ran the advanced...

orgot to mention, that my system is panic'ing even when i'm not playing unreal tournament 2004, although not as severely and not as frequently. whereas the system will have the freeze and lock up style panic when playing unreal; the style of panic i get when just using my machine normally is...

i havent tried this as i'm short on USB connections without either using the ones on the keyboard, or on the back of my monitor, since i have the harman kardon soundsticks i suppose i could give it a try and take the soundsticks out of the equation while testing

yes, i'm fully updated to 10.4.3, and UT2K4 is also fully patched
