I hit the power button but nothing happens.

I put my emac to sleep when I went out and there was a power outage while I was out. Now my emac will not turn on. I tried changing power sources and the Control, Option, P, and R keys but nothing seems to works. I do have a surge protector so I do not think it got fried. Any ideas?
