    Several posts mention logging in as "root". I assume that I would want to type in "root" as my username when I start up OS X but what is the "root" password?

    How do you enable permits r/w for the system resources?

    Is there anyway to determine the password for the "root" user? Would you (I) then be able to log in as "root" to modify system stuff. I would like to install my fonts directly into the system. If you install fonts at a higher level, they don't show up in Classic.
