Thanks for the suggestion matt, however, in addition to everything initially stated in my last post, I also previously downloaded the VLC player and an MPEG streamclip 1.5.1 player in hopes that my problem would be solved, but no dice. I believe I've tried everything that has worked for others...

I recently updated my mac to 10.4.3, unfortunatley, since then, I have been experiencing a reaccuring problem w/ quicktime 7. Each and everytime I download a mpeg file and try to play it, quicktime reveals that it is not a file it understands (-2048). How can this be? Before updating to...
