    iMac G5

I would have prefered the wires to have been connected (and hidden) by the stand, rather than hanging loose at the side. Still a bloody nice looking piece of kit though. *edited to add* Scrub that, I've just seen another view of it, and all cables can be fed through the hole in the back...

MS gets a taste of it's own medicine.

A what? (i'm drunk, and in no position to understand big words..) It is, almost perfect. GoldenEye wouldn't be the game it is if it wasnt for the N64 controller.

MS gets a taste of it's own medicine.

Since buying my GameCube, my PS2 hasn't been turned on, except to watch some Region 1 DVDs I am an absolute 'early adopter' e.g. I paid £580 for a CDi on it's release date. £80 for an original 'brick' GameBoy on it's release date. £300 (i think) for a PlayStation on it's release date...

Why can't iTunes burn 80 minute audio cds?

My flat panel Mac (superdrive) works fine. I have an external EZQuest FireWire burner which also burns upto 80mins.

Wow! AOL actually did somthing right!

We were informed by Dominic Wells (one of the AOL UK bosses) that after AOL5, there will be NO further development or support for Mac users, due to it being "A minority market" So, basically, AOL UK are going to lose a lot of customers due to AOL US continuing to support Mac. Personally, I...

I have just one stuck pixel on my new flat panel iMac, about four inches from the top of the screen and 2 inches from the middle. (so, its just up, and to the left of center...i dont think i made it clear) its white, so shows up pretty much all the time, but I hardly notice it now. When I...

    New iMac - In Person...

I had to wait for 2 weeks longer than Apple said it would take. lol, I can just imagine the reaction of the customer support staff when you phone to complain that your Mac is broken due to oveheating. "Have you made any modifications that could have voided your warranty?" "um......."...

    New iMac - In Person...

I've had one for a few weeks now. It still puts a smile on my face for the simplest of things....even down to shifting the position of the screen. I have to agree about the keyboard. much improved on the old one. I still dont like Apple mice (using a Logitech Trackball at the mo). How hard...

    anyone using a trackball?

Agreed. Been using mine for over a year now. I just couldnt get used to the 'Pebble' mouse that Apple thought was a good idea. Even the Pro Mouse isnt as good as my trackball.

"What would you do if your iMac broke, though?"

Not in my case. My hard drive died...So I sold then whole thing to my brother and bought a new Flat Panel one. ....well, it seemed like a good enough excuse to me. :D

What is the security slot in the new iMac?

There isnt one....the best you can do is to hold the power button down for 5 seconds and shut the whole system down. Seems a stupid way of doing it, but hey...what do we know...
