Apparently my dvd drive is the problem. Most of my archives are in DVD, but when I try to copy some files from one of my cds the problems begun. Somehow I can read DVDs without problems but not cds. Do dvd combos have different lenses for cds and dvds?

I've tried with the option key and nothing, the drive (with the disc inserted) is not listed. I've also switched my drive's jumper from slave to master since I've read that this (slave position) may prevent booting a cd or dvd but still nothing.
