    OK. Option 1 works; there is indeed an address book folder with files in it in application support. Where do I go from here?

    All the entries in my address book have just vanished including the one for the doctor I'm trying to contact. HELP! I haven't done anything to the machine prior to this except run disk utility. regards Tel
