    It looks like that works. It still copies over a few files that I can't think of any reason they would have been updated. But it doesn't copy the entire 30GB. Now I just need to see if I can get amarok installed so that I can have a music player that keeps track of my collection.

    Yes, I meant -r not -R. I find myself always checking the man page before I use rsync to double check. I didn't have my iBook handy when posting so I took a guess. I haven't had time to test the -t flag. When I do I'll post my results. Thanks for the suggestion.
