Xbox Live and OS X Server NAT

That did it, adding the Xbox IP to the DMZ worked perfectly. Xbox Live now shows a router status of "open". Well done, ElDiablo! Although there's no way to do this in Server Admin's settings, TheNATural has a spot for one IP address labelled "Default Address:" with a subtitle of "This is...

Xbox Live and OS X Server NAT

I'll give that a try... When in the DMZ does that unrestricted access carry over to the NAT? I'll post back with my findings as soon as I can get to my rig. Thanks for the suggestion!

Xbox Live and OS X Server NAT

Hey y'all, I've got a 10.4.6 server running as the internet gateway for my home network. It was relatively easy to configure Firewall services to allow Xbox live to run, but there were still people (sporatically) that I could party up with. I went to xbox.com to see if there was anything I...

mac os x network/internet/print sharing via linksys router

So let me repeat what you've said so I can understand correctly: The mini and macbook are both wirelessly connected to the Linksys router for internet access. The mini has created a computer-to-computer network in order to share the printer, and when the macbook connects to the mini it loses...

Can't install Tiger on G4 PCI Yikes

Ouch. Sorry 'bout that. What was the first PowerMac to support those, the AGP? Scratch those ideas then.

Can't install Tiger on G4 PCI Yikes

I agree with ElDiablo, but technically the Apple installed SCSI card shouldn't hinder the Tiger install... Still, it's worth a shot.

Can't install Tiger on G4 PCI Yikes

One thing you could try is starting up holding down the option key, enabling the Startup Manager. If the Startup Manager sees the Tiger boot disk, you have a good chance of booting into the installer. Another option is to boot the PowerMac into Target Disk Mode (boot holding down the T key)...

Help me get a mac book!

I would tell them that if they don't get you a MacBook, firey death will rain down upon North America in the form of decapitated Barbie heads from space. If they believe you, pick up one for me too.

Funny: guy proposing on latest apple.com timelapse

They've got the time split up hour for hour - in the 24 hour time lapse vid he gets three frames - but if you click on the 5:00AM link (just above the 24HOURS one) you get a better view.

    10.5?

Have you heard of Parallels? It's a virtualization app that will run XP in a window on your OS X desktop. It has that same feel of "XP in a window" that VPC does, but since it doesn't need to translate Intel instructions into PPC instructions it really does fly. Another plus is the zero...

Apple should NOT do business with BEST BUY

I will say that even though the OP's post was a little hard to read, the sentiment was not lost on this former Best Buy employee turned Apple Consultant. While at Best Buy, I had the opportunity to sell Macs, but the customer always knew more about them than I did... they knew what they wanted...

    Warcraft 3 and MacBook Pro

Hardly! One thing you might consider trying is snapping up a copy of Warcraft3 for Windows and running that in XP via Boot Camp. In my experience XP on an intelMac rips it up in the gaming front, I've been systematically testing everything I can get my grubby little hands on. If W3 is...
