    Black boxes and repeating drop down functions??

    im getting black boxes that appear on active fields on my display, like outlines. also, in the drop down boxes, there are repeating menu items like restart restart can anyone tell me what is going on? this just started happening randomly today out of nowhere. no new programs installed.
