i have now tested the ipods hard drive, ram, and a few others and all have passed! i have tryed resetting the ipod this way too, but it still wont let me restore, still come up with the same error message. any ideas? Peter

hi, i am on windows, and nope, i did try formating it with just the windows, but this also got to the end and then failed! i have also tryed on a different computer but the same result, you just get, the ipod cannot be restored, and unknown error occured? any ideas? Cheers Peter

hi all, i have just got an ipod second hand, all was well, then itunes deleted all the music on there, which im guessing is normal? but now the ipod wont work, it coes up with the file symbol when you try and turn it on, and also when you try to restore it gets to 2 bars and then says...
