    Frame By Frame launches

I just helped a friend of mine launch a new blog centered around digital video. If you've ever dabbled or have an interest in DV, be sure to check it out. http://frame-by-frame.net/

    Suggestions?

My friend just launched a new website, BehindTheLyrics. Right now, it's just a typical lyrics website, but he wants it to grow into a good music community, so he's trying to spread the word. Why do you guys think? I'll pass your suggestions on to him. :) He showed me some of the code...

Photoshop CS can't save for web

The file I use doesn't seem to have an effect. I get the same message for any file at all, even new documents.

Photoshop CS can't save for web

When I try to Save for Web in Photoshop CS, I get a message saying, "The operation could not be completed because the file could not be found." Nothing I try will get Save for Web to work properly. It was just the other day that I last used it, and it worked fine. I've searched all over...

    Choosing an open source license

lol... Nice. I'll have to lay some Photoshop down on that idea some time. :) Thanks for the links, Viro! I'll be sure to look those over.

    Choosing an open source license

Thanks to both of you. I considered writing my own license, but I have neither the legal expertise nor the money to find some (though it will be inevitable at some point). I also considered the GPL, which was recommended over all else by my Open Source Nazi friend (which isn't necessarily...

    Sweet statistics site

I just wanted to pass this on to everyone: http://das.reinvigorate.net/ Been using it for a few hours. I highly recommend it. So far, I don't really miss Analog. The displays are attractive and easy to read. It also contains differentiation between hits and unique hits. And screen...

    Current presidential approval rating

Yeah, I figured that much (that's why I put "official" in quotes). :p But is there any poll organization that has its polls available in feeds?

    Current presidential approval rating

This is kind of weird, but I was wondering where I would get the "official" approval rating, and whether there's a live feed of some sort for it. I Googled it up and down, but found nothing like what I need. Hope it's out there somewhere. Thanks!

    Choosing an open source license

I'm currently working on a content management system focused on data-driven websites such as blogs and news feeds. I'm planning for the next release to be open source. However, I'm having a difficult time deciding on which license to use (from those listed at Sourceforge). I've written out my...

    Referral list program

Alright, my server is set up with Analog as a cron job, and that's all fine. However, what I see as my most valuable statistic, referring sites, isn't so easy to get to. I've set up Analog so that it displays every referrer, with no floor limit. What I get is a generated HTML page with a...

    Last Key in MySQL

Okay, I did a little digging and I found out how to retrieve the next ID to be written to a table. Use the query "SHOW TABLE STATUS LIKE 'tableName';" and retrieve the column "Auto_increment". Here's how you'd do it in PHP: $result = mysql_query('SHOW TABLE STATUS LIKE "tableName";')...

    Last Key in MySQL

Thanks, that'll do fine! Well, not necessarily. I think that if I'd deleted the last INSERT that I did, incrementing would return the ID of the deleted row, and MySQL doesn't fill in key gaps. Anyways, thanks for the hasty response! I was at a stopping-point until I had that info...

    Last Key in MySQL

I'm writing a web application, and I need to be able to find the last key ID added to a given table. Or, better yet, I'd like to know the next key to be added before I even add one. Such a vital and simple function *must* have been applied to SQL somewhere. Thanks in advance!

    Analog referrers

    Excellent! Thanks!

    Analog referrers

Simple problem, solution tentative. When going through my referrer list in my Analog-generated statistics, the overwhelming majority are internal references (my site to my site). It's nice to see which pages users have been viewing, but it's difficult to weed out the external references out...
