It's FAT 16, no good?

I just got a Nintendo Wii and a 1.0 GB SD card for it. I put the SD card in earlier and now when I plug the card into my mac it is read only. I really want to add some songs and movies, how can I fix this? Thanks! PS- The card is not locked.
