0K available on mounted PC volume

I have no problem mounting Windows shared volumes. My problem is that the status line in the Finder window says "0K available." I've checked with my network admin, and he said everything looks fine on his end. I can mount and use the volume on a PC with no problems.

Prior to Jaguar I installed SAMBA and used that. With Jaguar, I can mount volumes, but I cannot copy or save files to it. I can copy from the volume, and I can open documents on the volume from an application. Sometimes Save As works, sometimes it doesn't and I get an error that there's no room.

I've searched this and other forums for similar problems but haven't had much luck. Does anyone have any ideas?
