1.8 G5s bumped up to same business day shipping.

Yesterday the 1.6 and 1.8 models were shipping in 5 - 10 business days. I checked today and the 1.8 is quoted at same business day. The 1.6 still says 3-5 days so I'm wondering if this is an error...

Dual 2Ghz machines are still quoted at 3-5 weeks.

Has ANYONE received a Dual 2GHz machine yet? Mine was ordered in August and quoted at 10/30/2003 but based on this 3-5 week quote time for new orders I'm hoping it will get here sooner, though they still have not charged my credit card for it.

I have a friend who ordered his the day after they came out and he still hasn't received it.

Apple typically waits a couple weeks or a month before shipping the newest top-of-the-line models of their various computers. Virginia Tech's order for 1100 duals also undoubtedly is contributing to the delays.

Remember, it's still barely September. October is still 20 days away.
