10.2 Launch Times

Well, after about 14 hours of mayhem and terror, I've finally gotten 10.2 working on my iBook. It seems to be working great, and system response is quite snappy. The only thing that appears to have suffered are the application launch times. I did an obligatory update_prebinding, but it didn't find anything to update. Are there any speedup tricks I should know about?

Disregard the previous complaint. I hadn't rebooted since completing the install, so I guess some ghoulish process was clogging things up. Now it's crazy fast!

It is unnecessary to update prebindings under Jaguar. It is a normal part of system operation, so it need never be done manually.

Yeah, I think I read about that. I just figured I'd give it one for good measure, just in case the installer missed anything. And now I'll never do it again.
