10.3.2: I can no longer launch an app from a contexual menu from a folder on the dock

I have folders in my dock (such as applications) and before I would always right click on it, select the app I wanted and it launched. Now that I have upgraded to 10.3.2 if I do the same thing the folder simply opens and highlights the app. I know this is only one more step but I really liked being able to launch the app right from the contexual menu. Is there any way to get this functionality back? Thanks.

Trash the apps alias now in the Dock and drag your apps folder in there and try. If it doesn't work, try Option-Left Click and see if it opens.
Check the software for your mouse if it doesn't work.

Replacing the folder in the dock didn't work, but an option-click will launch the app. I should be able to live with this since I have option-click as my mouse 3. I do have the latest mouse drivers (logitech). I wonder why they changd this though.

Thanks for for the option-click tip, if there is no way to go back, I'll manage with this.

This appears to be a bug introduced in 10.3 and not fixed with the 10.3.2 update. When this happens launch the Activity Monitor application in the Utilities folder and quit the Dock. It will relaunch itself and all should be well. It is not a permanent fix however.
