10.3 Fax & Distinctive Ring

I wish 10.3 support Distinctive Ring. For those who don't know what that is, it is possible to have two ore more phone numbers for a given line. The incoming rings in a different pattern, depending upon the number called. All most all fax machines support this feature, however it appears to 10.3 doesn't.

Anyone else who would like this?
 
I don't receive many faxes, but I agree that would be a good feature to have. I mostly send outgoing faxes, and even that is rare. I haven't gotten a chance to even try the built in faxing yet.
 
fyi - An article posted today regarding configuring Distinctive Ring in 10.3 Panther @ http://hivelogic.com/macfax.php

The author's approach is to configure this via command line:

In Terminal, type:

sudo pico /usr/bin/fax

Or, if you've got BBEdit, type:

bbedit /usr/bin/fax

Find the line that reads:

INIT="-iZ -i&FE0&D2S7=120 -i&C0"

And change it to read:

INIT="-iZ -i&FE0&D2S7=120 -i&C0-SDR=2"

Hope this helps! If anyone gives it a go, I'd love to hear if it works.
