Hi all,

I just wanted u all to imform.
i just tested a beta version from os 10.3.
and it rules the piles are great.
on a normal machine (g4 dual 1GHz) its a bit slow.
but the 64 bit system looks really cool.
i am sorry i cant give u any screenshots.
but its worth waiting for 2 more weeks.
I would like to advice all of u that are interested.
This is the apple system we are all waiting for.
 
Uh, hmmm...
This sounds like someone trying to gain some popularity. If you ask me, I would say that he hasn't used 10.3 :(
 
Me too, he really didn't give us anything to go on but his word, and that isn't good enough for most of us. Especially for something like being a beta tester for panther. The only time apple uses beta testers to my knowledge is when they release a public beta (Mac OS 10.0, Safari) because even if beta testers were kept secret, one of them would probably squeal.
The developer program might get early seeds of software, but because WWDC's big selling point was "come and see panther," I don't think that Apple would have seeded Panther builds to developers it wanted to come to WWDC.
And by reading his post, he doesn't seem like the person who would be a high end developer, because almost everyone in programming speaks/writes fluent english, and there are just a few errors in your short post.
But I do agree with you on one subject, stamgast, "Think Diverent." Indeed.

I wouldn't go THAT far to call a Dual G4/1GHz a normal machine! PLUS you are 100% wrong by mentioning the performance of a beta OS and system... :eek:

Which one? The PowerMac or the PowerBook? Or you mean the Developer's Dual G4/1GHz 64bit Beta? :p

beta testers are only allowed to use a few capital letters. and commas are also frowned upon as well. it's grate. mien Gott indeed.
 
I can't speak for the others, but I can assume that they were not mocking the poster, but the post itself for it made claims that are hard to believe and near impossible to substantiate. I think it's fairly fair to express some reservations over such a wild claim and the language, grammar and syntax used in such a post is a fair barometer of the person's validity and believeability, therefore fair game to comment on and critique. Not to be cruel, but to be skeptical.

ScottW, i think macosx.com is running good enough. You really don't have to do this... :cool:

You can say all that apple is not using beta tester but then u have to work at apple in Cork Ireland like i do and u know then that they do internaly.
So u guys can all say all the crap in the world about me.
as i wonted to put up some screen shots today.
but i dont let myself be acuused of thingsdat u guys dont have a clue from.
and u people call yourself mac people .
give me a brake.
I work now for 4 years for Apple in ireland and even the cs are beter informed than u guys.
 
So you work in Cork, Ireland, which is now part of Germany? I guess that explains the dodgy spelling/grammar.
 
Let's see. Now you work for Apple. Well, then you would be jeopardising your job by breaking confidentiality agreements, wouldn't you? And why "inform" this board, if as you claim, it's so close? Either give something that can confirm you're doing more than talking out of your @$$ or expect comments like this as it's more likely that you're a troll and this is a wind-up.
If you're for real, why not e-mail one of the mods or the owner of the site some screen shots and let one of them comment on the validity of your vague claims. If you're not willing to put up, then I'd say shut up. Personally, I can wait for 10.3 before putting up with your jumping through hoops and historonics and vague claims.
If you're the real thing, we'll all owe you an apology. But we gotta see some ID before you get the green light to astound and amaze us. Fair deal mate, doncha think?

I'm thinking 13 year old... ok, i might be wrong, but its just how it seems as whoever it may be is getting incredibly worked up for not proving theirself

That aside, I cant wait for 10.3! Jumping the gun a bit, but does anyone have a clue how much it'll cost? I'm imagining similar prices as 10.2 was, which was good i guess.
