I previously dabbled with 10.5 server with some 10.5 clients and found that the first time I opened Directory Utility on one of the clients it automatically found the server and offered to configure the client to use all the services like Time Machine, iChat, etc. (like this).
Then we bought a new Mac Mini Server that came with 10.6 server. I set it up fresh using this thread as a guideline. Now when I go to a freshly installed 10.5 client machine and fire up Directory Utility, it searches for a while, but does not find a server.
What am I doing wrong?
