Hello.

I'm currently being reported the following information from NETSTAT:

tcp4 0 0 localhost.1033 localhost.1019 ESTABLISHED

tcp4 0 0 localhost.1019 localhost.1033 ESTABLISHED

tcp4 0 0 localhost.1033 *.* LISTEN

udp4 0 0 localhost.1033 *.*

Indeed, there's an 1033 open port on my computer, but I cannot what process started it.

I've got no open services in /etc/inetd.conf, and the 1033 port is not mentioned in my /etc/services.

Any information will be much appreciated.

Thanks!

I just did that on my iBook. Apparently, its being used by the netinfo daemon.

By the way, it says "localhost.1033", so only your local system should be able to connect there. It's not open to the outside, in case that's bothering you.
