2 GB PowerMac HD in Quadra...

Any ideas on why the original 2 GB disk from a PowerMac 8600 doesn't work in a Quadra 700? The noise from the old 200 MB disk in it makes me insane, and it's a little bit small, so I tried to put in the 2 GB, but in wouldn't format. Now I've put a 500 MB disk in it from an external cabinet in it, and it works just fine... Anything special about the PowerMac HDs or something?

the 2GB is SCSI, right?

what verion of the OS are you using? there may be hard size limitations for the version you are using.

Whee, forget my question, I just had to edit some jumper settings, now it works fine
