I have an iMac G3 400 Mhz and it runs PS rather slowly but it does fine. It helps if PS is the only major program running, I don't have Illustrator.

I've got a G4 400 with the AGP graphics, and sometimes apps get a bit slow, but not normally to a point where it's unusable. I don't use PS so i dunno, but Fireworks MX is usually alright, if as Ugg said, you don't have too many other apps open.
