3D Sheet Effect

It appears in metal apps always. It appears in aqua apps when the window is too narrow to accommodate the resulting sheet. Can't remember whether Carbon vs. Cocoa is an issue…
 
I wonder why they didn't leave it for all aps...hmmm, maybe they're trying to advertise Brushed Metal

You'll notice that there is a nice little beveled slot around the sheets in Metal apps too. Cool stuff. It looks like a printout. What would be totally cool is if once you fill out your options, that the window 'falls' off the screen when you click cancel. I mean, they already have the beginnings in place in finder for this concept, like when you drop files into folders, the files fall 'into' the folder, shrinking and fading as they do so.
