3gb for macbook Pro 17?

hi, I'm looking to upgrade my macbook Pro core 2 duo 17 to 3gb of ram.

My brother is lving in Florida and is coming back in a few months and I am thinking of getting him to purchase the memory for me.

Can anyone suggest a good brand/type to purchas it from?
I think I'd be looking for a 1x 2GB & 1x1GB?

For quality, get it from Crucial (which has an advisor to show you what will work), or Kingston (good stuff). For a deal, look on the Mac section of Ramseeker.

Assuming you have a Apple MacBook Pro 2.33GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (17-inch), yes. You can return it if it doesn't work.
