3rd Party iPod earphones?

Hey, I wish to buy some 3rd party iPod earphones, the official ones cost too much and seem to have broken by themselves (in both cases). So, I know I can use any pair of earphones, but I wish to buy earphones that have a straight-jack end, like the Apple ones, not the jacks directed at 90 degrees.

Anyone know of some earphones?

Regards,
Conv

koss or sennheiser are at least very reliable ones sound-wise.. they seem to always come out one top in tests. but they are quite pricey aswell, so if you find the apple ear-buds expensive you won't be too happy with the price of the koss/sennheiser ones. you might be ALOT happier with the sound though.

if not, i've had a couple of cheap sony's several times, and been quite satisfied.

if you'd like i may provide you with links to koss'/sennheiser's with good reputation..

I also recommend Koss. Bose is also very good, but very expensive. I happen to have pair of those Bose Noice-Cancelling headphones.

I've done a very thorough research on this subject only a month ago. I found the best around (with a straight post even, which I could care less about) are the Etymotic 6isolator earphones, in-the-ear earbuds really, made especially for discriminating iPod users. Not cheap, and well worth the price. You can get them on eBay for less if you're willing to wait out the bidding. I checked on the web for the best pricing too. I tried out several others and sent all of them back except for these. Noise cancelling, way excellent sound, [/I]very comfortable tho you might need to cut off the big or small end of the soft flange eartips depending on your ear holes. They come with a shirt clip carry pouch, 5ft. cord, 1 pair of flange eartips, and one pair of foam eartips. I paid $89 for mine.
