50 Inch Plasma Display with Mac Mini (Intel)

I am in search of an easy to use solution to matching my Mac Mini to my 50 Inch Samsung Plasma TV. I am trying to get full screen resloution through a DVI to HDMI cable. I want to accomplish this without the overscan option. Anyone know of any programs to make this a reality?

have you tried just plugging the the screen into the DVi post and restarting?

what does it do if you just do this? is the tv set to the right input channel?

what is the resolution of the Tv? is it full 1080p? (1920x1080)
