Chinese or Japanese? The banner looks to have some phonetic Japanese characters.

I can't see how good they are, I can't understand even one character of Chinese or Japanese.

That's definately chinese.

I can tell the difference between chinese, japanese, and korean writing yet I can speak none of them. Go me :-D
 
Well, my post actually was in Mandarin, hanyu pinyin, at least, minus a few typos.
And for those cunning linguists who still think pig latin is funny, it says: I learned a little Chinese because my job was in Singapore.
I'm Spanish American, and I'd like to be able to understand quite a lot of Mandarin quite well. :D
