A good idea

Hey! I think this is a good idea I got! But I don't know how to do it.
I think of an Icon in the dock so, when you click on it, it hiddes everything but the finder. Is possible in any way?

How about cmd-option click on the Finder in the dock? Should hide everything else.

oh yea, i knew it worked on OS 9 but i forgot that point on OS X!

Thanks!!! I didn't know that! I have so much to learn!!! But I'm very happy with my OS X!!! I love it!!

It's called Show Desktop.

I use it, and it's not bad. Command-option-clicking the Finder icon works too, but - well - this is better when you're using your optical mouse from the couch.

Just drag the Show Desktop icon where you'd like it to appear in the Dock. It's an application, not a Dock Extra, so it needs to be added to Login Items to get it to start automatically.
