Here is the problem...
I have connected the mini mac to the network. The Mac sees the PC's, and I can mount the drives, do whatever I want on the PC's from the MAC. Now when I try and go from the PC to the MAC it asks for a user name and password. I have tried using, the user name, the shortname, the Mac Name, no combination seems to work. If I use an FTP to the MAC there is no problem. To answer some questions; Shares are on, firewall is off, password is tested. (After a wasted conversation with Apple support I even reloaded the mini-mac because they thought it may be a corrupt configuration setting). I have also tried the command lines to get to the IP, which of course it finds the PC, but the road ends at the user name and password. Let me know what you think I can try.
