adding a second hard drive?

crash

and burn
i apologize if this issue has already been addressed, i did a search first and didn't find anything. maybe i asked the wrong question...

my issue is this: if i have a G4 tower with an internal IDE 40 GB drive, can i plug in a PCI SCSI interface card and add an internal 10 GB SCSI drive and use them both? do i need to config anything to make this possible? i know macs are big on plug and play, but i'd heard stuff about slave drives and jumpers and what-not. just want to be safe this time. i've had too many botched DIY experiments to not get some advice first.

thanks

Yes you can. Nothing to configure, the SCSI wouldn't be a slave drive.

Slave/master is only for IDE/ATA drives.

SCSI uses a SCSI ID which is set on the drive. Since you only have one SCSI drive, you don't need to worry about that though.
