Address Book Transfer Problems

hi -
am running Ist gen 20g ipod and a G3 500mhz ibook , 640mb ram.
problem is , when I transfer contact information from osx(10.3.2) address book to ipod , only certain bits of information seem to appear
i.e. only phone numbers, and only a certain number of those per contact . no written data ie actual address's transfer across , although the names of the contacts do.
any help much appreciated

How are you trying to transfer them? By iSynch? As i remember you can just drag vcards to the Contacts folder on the ipod, maybe trying whichever one of these you haven't done will help.
Alternatively, if you are trying to back up the contacts rather than trying to be able to view them on the ipod, you could just backup your database to the iPod (acting as a FireWire HD) from address book.

im just transferring by drag and drop into contacts folder in ipod - i do actually want to use the info on my ipod rather than just a backup
any other thoughts ?
