I have a windows 2003 server (sp1) and I have an external Harddrive connected via USB 2. Being that the build of the machine is very old (PII 400mhz) installing the the harddrive that is in the external on the internal IDE bus isn't an option. It just won't work. But I am able to mount the external, share it and use it (via Mac). Problem is every now and then something seems to happen and my share won't mount on my G5. I usually shut down the machine (server) and when it comes back it's ready to go again. I have noticed this one time when i shut down the external it gave me that an error
"Could not save AFP_Afpinfo..."
can someone give me some information about what is exactly is going on? My guess is that it's indexing for when you mount the share it'll display everything correctly. Any information would be great, because when it does save AFP_Afpinfo it prevents my share on there from mounting..
