I just bought a Linksys BEFW11S4 Wireless-B router for use at college. I had purchased a Netgear but it was dumping my wireless connection every 5 seconds. The Linksys works much better with wireless, but Ethernet is now messed up. When I put my iMac to sleep for a long period of time (like going to class for a couple hours) when I return and turn it on, it loses connection with the router. Even if I restart it, it comes up with the random 169.x.x.x Ethernet address because it cannot find any devices. DHCP is configured on the router, and the only way I can get it to work right now is by turning the router off and then back on. This is a bit of a hassle to do every time though. My brother had an older version of this router that worked fine with Macs. Any thoughts on what might be causing this? Thanks!
