After trying this many times i have had no luck.

What i would like is a system ( if possible integrated with the Mambo CMS i have installed at the moment ) that would allow client users to see the status of their project. ( all this information files etc, would be contained within a folder on my server) How would i achieve this?

So far i have tried to use:

PHPColab - not what i need too complicated, don't need pert/Gant charts.
Dot Project - see above

Have you considered something like iWork, and then exporting the iCal calendar it uses to a WebDAV server?

no it needs to be online, clients need to be able to see the contense of their folder, and post comments/send emails about the contense/

Check out www.hotscripts.com ... they have a bunch of stuff archived there...some free, some pay. Look through the catagories and you're bound to find something. I believe they had over 10,000 PHP scripts the last I checked. A few project management scripts too.

hmm perhaps project management isn't what i am looking for, perhaps Personalised User Areas is more what i am looking for. any ideas?

Ripped my hair out for months trying to find something like that to use on a real estate related site...somewhere individual clients could log into and view their contract and related forms in PDF format, showing and marketing reports, etc.

Have a temp solution in place...it utilizes a script named phpATM ( http://phpatm.free.fr/ ). For individual user sections, you need the modded version available here (I'd use revision 5 or 6): http://phpatm.kc-it.com/atm/index.p...to&PHPSESSID=c95861d038740088519f84bba5bbb6d1

well im trying this script, not to sure how to set it up, but im trying it. how have you used it?

'admin' and 'test' as far as I remember, but first you register an new account then log in and make it admin, deleting the original admin account after that. Look for the Readme.txt in the Docs folder.

Hi Adam, have you tried PHP Nuke? I'm not sure if it will do exactly what you want but it has all sorts of features with it which will more than likely be beneficial to you. The URL is <http://www.phpnuke.org>.

I have tried it in the past but have always found it to be bloated and hard to handle. Im currently using Mambo Open Source (Now with a new improved Self-made template - www.adambrowndesigns.co.uk) I was hoping that there was something that would work with that.

Yeah, I took a look at Mambo yesterday and I agree that it probably looks more suitable than PHP Nuke. I had a bit of a problem installing it last night for some reason (but it was 4:30am which could explain my lack of patience). From the demo it looks like a professional CMS though.

Good luck!

Ian
