AIFF to MP3 Encoder

I just got a Mac Mini, composed a song in GarageBand, and then exported the song to iTunes. It is in AIFF format. Although the song is 24 seconds long, the file is 4MB in size.

I was wondering if there was a FREE AIFF to MP3 encoder for Mac OS X. It must be for Mac OS X because I do not have classic installed in the system.

itunes can do this for you. select convert selection to mp3 from the advanced menu

So can QuickTime (that's how iTunes gets that functionality)

i thought itunes did mp3 on it's own, but used QT for aac stuff?
