Airport Base Station

I am going absolutely crazy here with my stupid Airport Base Station (Snow). The thing has been running great for six months now, and then it just finaly quit working. My ibook claims that it is not sending out a signal. It's not my ibook either, because it can get signal elsewhere (i.e. on campus), just not on my freaking network. I've restarted it a hundred times, and even stuck a paper clip in the mysterious hole. I've tried everything i can think of, and it still does not work! does this mean it's dead and it's time for me to move on? What should i do? Please help!

If you've only had it for 6 months then it should be under warranty. Call apple and get it exchanged, or take it up to CompUSA or an apple dealer and see if they'll take the case. Apple should pay them for the warranty work.

My station does this occasionally...what you should try is this:

Turn off the computer.

Turn off the base station.

Unplug the base station from the ethernet for about 30 seconds.

Plug all back in, turn on again.

See if that works.

Otherwise, try holding down the reset button for 10 seconds (I have the extreme station so you may not have a reset button...not sure). It will flash with all three lights. Doing this will allow you to simply re-apply a password and network.
