Airport Card not working with WEP enabled

I have a Dlink 634M (MIMO) router using WEP. I enter the PW Key when the Airport asks me to...but it doesn't recognize it. I use 128-bit encryption...is there a problem with the Powerbook G4's airport card working with this?

This Powerbook is the 4th system on the network, so I don't want to compromise any of my other systems.

When using different brands of equipment, it's sometimes necessary to fall back to using the hexadecimal key instead of a password.

Does that help?
