Hello
I've been having a very annoying problem with my MacBook airport. When I'm at home, the internet connection keeps dropping all the time. I'm using the aiport to connect to a NETGEAR WNR834B router with DHCP on, connected to a cable modem. The NETEGEAR router has an open network, with an access list. The wireless connection is active at all times, but there is no actual browsing or other capabilities. If I try to ping or trace any other IPs, I get no response.
Some time ago, what I did was log wirelessly into the router (which is set on 192.168.5.1) and turn DMZ on and off and everything would work again for 5 or so minutes. Not a good option, but it was working. As of now, I can't even connect into the router without turning my airport on and off. So, now what is happening is that I turn the aiport off, then I turn it on, it connects, I browse for a minute or so and than there is no connection again.
I'm using a MacBook with 10.5.7, everything is up-to-date.
Thanks!!
Celso
