Airport et ip adress

Hi !

Is there any body in there who would be able to explain me how i can get a single adress of my machine when i use my airport machine.

I have to machines, an ibook for my wife and a Ti for me. We both use the airport. But, if i need to know my ip adress, i notice that we both have the same. I need to give my ip adress (the Ti one) to my brother to share via ftp folders.

The reason for this is that you have the IP address of the Airport which is the IP address assigned to you by your ISP. Airport allows you to share this IP address between two computers.

The easiest solution is to goto someplace like:

www.ods.org
or
www.dydns.com

(I use ods.org, but they both accomplish the same thing.)

Read the documentation and register. You can then download their software to update your computers DNS address dynamically.

This way you will not have to send an IP address and the assigned web address is for your computer. You can have one for each of your macs. This way they will all have different web adresses.
