airport express

sorry to trouble you flolks regarding an aussie question. but I want to get airport express and my mac dealer tells me that because I have a telstra, motorola cable modem, that it wont work.

I find this hard to believe. Has anyone had trouble with cable modems and airport express?

Sounds like your dealer needs to be upgraded

Airport Express should work with no problems for you.

Keep in mind, that you need to connect via Ethernet.

He could be refering to the heartbeat problem. Cable is a bitch cause it is definately not standard .

I suggest you look at the Mac forums on whirlpool.net.au there is more relevent info there. I believe there is a fix for the Airport Extreme base station but if you are using the Airport Express as an access point only I don't see that it matters.
