Airport Extreme and HP compatibility

There was a previous question from prentis concerining this issue, and I am at a loss to get my HP Pavilion to recognize my AEBS. I've turned WQEP off, as well as 802.1, but it still won't recognize it. Any of you out there who dealt with the initial problem that could help me? I have an imac and ibook working fine off the AEBS, which is hooked into a DSL modem.
