It seems to me like apple is denying users like me from using Airport Extreme.
I have a (slightly old) Powerbook DVI 667 bought about 9 months ago and thus is only Airport ready not Airport Extreme. The reason Apple gives is that the bus of the Airport card slot doesn't support the speeds of the Airport Extreme.
Ok. Fair enough then i won't use the internal slot and just use the PCMCIA slot on my PB just like a PC laptop. But no there is no such product.... for Mac only PC.

First t took me quite some searching before figuring out Airport ready imlpies NOT airport extreme ready. I always wonder why Apple doesn't spell these things out since they know it's going to be an important question to have to answer and why can't we get third party cards that will work in the PCMCIA slot.
Just a quick rambling.... keen to hear your thought....
