Airport problems

I have a snow airport. I just moved and finally was taking the time to set the airport back up and I ran into more problems than expected. At this point, it seems to be hopelessly broken. I can not "log in" to the airport (i.e. when I hit the configure button in the airport administration utility, I get back that an error has occurred.) If I hit the reset button briefly, I can get the window where I can set the password but that fails with an error as well. Finally I hooked the airport up directly and did a long 30 second reset to get back to the "factory settings". The first thing the airport administation utility tries to do is update the firmware. That comes back with an error as well.

Any other suggestions to try?

Thanks. That helped. I was not doing the hard reset properly. Finally got things back up.

Now my VPN software (Netlock) will not come up through the airport. I know at least one way to solve that though.
